देहरादून से देश के तीन प्रमुख शहरों अयोध्या, अमृतसर और वाराणसी के लिए सीधी हवाई सेवा को केंद्र की मंजूरी मिल गई है। तीनों सेवाओं का आज शुभारंभ सीएम धामी के द्वारा किया गया जॉली ग्रांट एयरपोर्ट पहुंचकर सीएम ने ने इसकी शुरुआत की इस दौरान वहां पर मौजूद यात्रियों को सीएम द्वारा मिठाई भी खिलाई गई
सीएम धामी ने तीनों सेवाओं की मंजूरी के लिए प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी और नागरिक विमानन मंत्री ज्योतिरादित्य सिंधिया का आभार प्रकट किया है। सीएम धामी तीनों स्थानों के लिए हवाई सेवा शुरू करने के लिए लंबे समय से प्रयासरत थे।
अयोध्या में श्रीराम मंदिर की प्राण प्रतिष्ठा होने से पूर्व उन्होंने केंद्रीय नागरिक विमानन मंत्री ज्योतिरादित्य सिंधिया से व्यक्तिगत रूप से अनुरोध करने के साथ ही पत्र भी लिखा था। सीएम ने कहा था कि देहरादून से अभी अयोध्या के लिए सीधी उड़ान सेवा उपलब्ध नहीं है।
श्रीरामलला के दर्शन के लिए देश-विदेश से बड़ी संख्या में श्रद्धालु अयोध्या पहुंच रहे हैं, अयोध्या से देवभूमि के लिए हवाई सेवा शुरू होने से श्रद्धालुओं को उत्तराखंड की यात्रा में भी सुविधा होगी। इसी प्रकार देवभूमि की यात्रा पर आने वाले तीर्थयात्री भी इस सेवा का लाभ उठा सकेंगे।
