सहारनपुर/देहरादून। फर्जी रजिस्ट्री घोटाले के मुख्य किरदार केपी सिंह की सहारनपुर जेल में मौत हो गयी। सूत्रों के मुताबिक केपी सिंह की मौत दिल का दौरा पड़ने से हुई। 51 वर्षीय केपी सिंह को 19 अक्टूबर,गुरुवार की सुबह जेल में ही दिल का दौरा पड़ा। पहले उसे जेल के अस्पताल में प्राथमिक उपचार दिया गया। बाद में जिला चिकित्सालय में भर्ती कराया गया। कंवरपाल उर्फ केपी सिंह को जबरदस्त हार्ट अटैक, हाइपर टेंशन व बेहोशी की वजह से एसबीडी जिला चिकित्सालय में भर्ती कराया गया। दून के एसएसपी अजय सिंह ने सहारनपुर जेल में केपी सिंह की मौत की पुष्टि की। उन्होंने कहा कि केपी सिंह की हार्ट अटैक से मौत हुई।
देहरादून में जमीनो की फर्जी रजिस्ट्री मामले से सुर्खियों में आये सहारनपुर निवासी केपी सिंह से दून पुलिस ने सितम्बर में पूछताछ की थी। केपी सिंह एक अन्य मामले में अगस्त के दूसरे पखवाड़े में सहारनपुर जेल में बंद हुआ था। सितम्बर महीने में बी वारंट के तहत दून पुलिस ने केपी सिंह से पूछताछ में कई राज उगलवाये थे। इसके बाद दून के वकील विरमानी, इमरान, केपी की पत्नी समेत कई लोग जेल में डाले गए।
इधर, केपी की मौत के बाद पुलिस भी सकते में है। इस मौत ने भी कई सवाल खड़े कर दिए हैं।पुलिस की जांच के लिए केपी सिंह एक बहुत खास कड़ी था। दून पुलिस /एसआईटी ने शुरू से ही इस प्रकरण पर बेहतर कार्य करते हुए नामवर लोगों को गिरफ्तार कर सभी को चौंका दिया था। गिरफ्तारियों पर वकीलों ने विरोध भी जताया था।
क्या केपी की मौत नेचुरल है या सबूत मिटाने के लिए केपी किसी बड़ी साजिश का शिकार तो नहीं हुआ। अगर इस मौत से पर्दा उठ गया तो कई नई कहानियों के सामने आने में देर नहीं लगेगी। केपी सिंह पूरे मामले में कई सफेदपोशों का राजदार था। चर्चा यह भी आम थी कि केपी सिंह का मुंह खुलने पर कई अन्य रसूखदार चेहरों से भी पर्दा हटता। लेकिन इस मौत के बाद अब कई सवालों का उत्तर मिलना एक टेढ़ी खीर हो गया है।

सितम्बर महीने में दून पुलिस पूछताछ के लिए केपी सिंह को यहां लायी थी। केपी सिंह ने ही सबसे पहले बैनामों में छेड़छाड़ करने का खेल शुरू किया था। केपी सिंह सहारनपुर में रखे देहरादून के रिकॉर्ड में अधिवक्ता विरमानी व इमरान के साथ मिलकर घपला करता था। और फिर वास्तविक दस्तावेज को जलाकर नष्ट कर देता था। इस गैंग ने फर्जी कागजात बनाकर करोड़ों के वारे न्यारे किये। वकील विरमानी व इमरान समेटेक दर्जन से अधिक लोग जेल में बंद है। केपी सिंह की पत्नी भी जेल में बंद है।
गौरतलब है कि सितम्बर के दूसरे पखवाड़े में पुलिस केपी सिंह को बी वारंट पर देहरादून लेकर आई थी। केपी सिंह ने कोर्ट को गुमराह करने की भी कोशिश की। उसने कोर्ट के सामने कहा कि वह इस फर्जीवाड़े के बारे में कुछ नहीं जानता है। वह केवल पांचवी तक पढ़ा है। बैनामा क्या होता है उसे इसकी भी जानकारी नहीं है। इस अभियोजन की ओर से तमाम साक्ष्य प्रस्तुत किए गए, जिसमें उसका इस फर्जीवाड़े से संबंध होना दर्शाया गया।
