देहरादून। स्वास्थ्य सचिव डॉ आर राजेश कुमार ने इन्डियन मेडिकल एसोसिएशन (आईएमए) के अध्यक्ष को पत्र लिखकर डेंगू रोग के इलाज के लिए प्लेटलेट्स के समुचित प्रबंधन करने की बात कही है।
स्वास्थ्य सचिव ने आईएमए अध्यक्ष को लिखे पत्र में कहा है कि वर्तमान में उत्तराखंड राज्य के मैदानी क्षेत्रों में डेंगू रोग प्रसारित हो रहा है। डेंगू रोग विगत कुछ वर्षों से एक प्रमुख जन स्वास्थ्य समस्या के रूप में नजर आ रहा है।
डेंगू रोग के अधिकांश मामले स्वतः ही मामूली लक्षणों के साथ ठीक हो जाते हैं। हालांकि, कुछ ही मामले गंभीर होते हैं जिनमें प्लेटलेट्स की आवश्यकता पड़ती है।
वर्तमान में यह देखा जा रहा है कि प्लेटलेट्स की आवश्यकता वाले डेंगू रोगियों में सिंगल डोनर प्लेटलेट (SOP) को लेकर अत्यधिक मांग है जिस कारण प्लेटलेट्स उपलब्धता पर अनावश्यक दबाव पड़ रहा है।
आप विदित ही है कि रैंडम डोनर प्लेटलेट (RDP) भी डेंगू रोगियों के लिए उतना ही सुविधाजनक है एवं सुगमता से उपलब्ध हो जाता है तथा रोगियों पर अनावश्यक वित्तीय दबाव भी नहीं पड़ता है। जिन मामलों में शीघ्र ही अधिक मात्रा में प्लेटलेट्स की आवश्यकता है उन मामलों में सिंगल डोनर प्लेटलेट (SDP) प्रिसक्राइब किया जाना उचित होगा।
अतः आपसे अनुरोध है कि आप अपने स्तर से राजकीय एवं निजी चिकित्सकों को RDP एवं SDP हेतु आवश्यकता अनुसार उचित रूप से प्रिस्क्रिपशन देने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करने का कष्ट करें ताकि प्लेटलेट्स की उपलब्धता को लेकर किसी भी प्रकार के अनावश्यक दबाव को रोका जा सके।
डेंगू रोगियों के उपचार के लिये प्लेटलेट्स के उचित प्रिस्क्रिप्शन तथा मानकानुसार उपचार के सम्बन्ध में राज्य स्तरीय डेंगू रोग चिकित्सा उपचार दिशानिर्देश भी प्रेषित किये गए।
