विश्व प्रसिद्ध गंगोत्री धाम के कपाट अन्नकूट के पर्व पर मंगलवार दोपहर 11.45 बजे पर शीतकाल के लिए विधिविधान से बंद किए गए जिसके बाद मां गंगा की डोली जयकारों के साथ मुखवा के लिए रवाना हुई। केदारनाथ धाम और यमुनोत्री धाम के कपाट 15 नवंबर को भैयादूज पर बंद होंगे। वहीं शीतकाल के लिए भगवान बदरीनाथ के कपाट 18 नवंबर को शीतकाल के लिए बंद कर दिए जाएंगे। इस बार उत्तराखंड में चारधाम तीर्थयात्रा ने अपना रिकार्ड बनाया है। 13 नवंबर तक चारों धामों में 55.89 लाख तीर्थयात्रियों ने दर्शन किए हैं। गंगोत्री धाम में भी इस बार तीर्थयात्रियों का सैलाब उमड़ा और नया रिकार्ड बना है। वर्ष 2022 में गंगोत्री धाम में 624451 तीर्थयात्रियों ने दर्शन किए थे। मंगलवार को गंगोत्री धाम के कपाट बंद किए जाने के अवसर सुबह 10 बजे मां गंगा के मुकुट को उतारा गया जिसके बाद श्रद्धालुओं ने निर्वाण के दर्शन किए। वेद मंत्रों के साथ मां गंगा की मूर्ति का महाभिषेक किया गया।

स्थानीय ग्रामीणों ने रांसो तांदी नृत्य किया, जिसके बाद विधिवत हवन पूजा-अर्चना के साथ दोपहर 11.45 बजे अभिजीत मुहूर्त की शुभ बेला पर कपाट बंद किए गए। जिसके बाद गंगा की डोली लेकर तीर्थ पुरोहित मुखवा के लिए प्रस्थान हुए। डोली रात्रि निवास चंडी देवी मंदिर में निवास करेगी। 15 नवंबर को गंगा की डोली मुखवा स्थित गंगा मंदिर में पहुंचेगी।
कपाट खोले और बंद होने पर शामिल होती हैं भारतीय सेना
गंगोत्री धाम के निकट भारत चीन सीमा स्थित है। सीमा पर भारत तिब्बत सीमा पुलिस बल के साथ भारतीय सेना भी तैनात रहती है। यहां सेना का सेक्टर हर्षिल में स्थापित है। हर तीन वर्ष में सेना की रेजिमेंट भी बदलती रहती हैं। यहां सेना की मां गंगा के प्रति गहरी आस्था है। 1962 के भारत चीन युद्ध के बाद यहां सेना की तैनाती की गई। जिसके बाद से निरंतर हर्षिल में तैनात रहने वाली भारतीय सेना के जवान व अधिकारी गंगोत्री धाम के कपाट खोलने और बंद होने के अवसर पर शामिल होते हैं।
साथ ही इस अवसर पर तीर्थ यात्रियों और श्रद्धालुओं के लिए मुखवा और गंगोत्री धाम में भंडारे का भी आयोजन करते आ रहे हैं। पिछले एक वर्ष से हर्षिल सेक्टर में जम्मू एंड कश्मीर लाइट इन्फेंट्री के जवान तैनात हैं। मंगलवार को गंगोत्री धाम के कपाट बंद होने के अवसर ये जवान सेना के बैंड के साथ शामिल हुए और गंगा डोली के साथ मुखवा आए।
